All AMYAS members are passionate about history and what it can teach us. We are committed to furthering our knowledge of historical performance practices, but also to finding ways to make these relevant to today's audiences. We take our inspiration from the fluidity and creativity that was integral to all music of the medieval, renaissance and baroque eras, and create performances which not only bring to light the practices of the past but the vitality and freshness which would have characterised first performances.
